About college:
Ydpg College, Lakhimpur Kheeri, established in 1949 by Oil and King Yuvraj Datta Singhji of Camerahha State, is the oldest and largest co-educational institution of higher education in Kheri district. Padam Bhushan Dr. Jaidev Singh, renowned Indian classical music as well as famous in the field of Indian Philosophy, was the founding principal of our college.
College has achieved the status of being the first and only center of higher education for a long time between Bareilly and Lucknow. The College offers regular study courses in art, science, commerce, and teacher - both in undergraduate and postgraduate level education.
The college is included in Section 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act 1956 and it is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Kanpur. College is a subsidiary and receives maintenance grant from the UPA Government. ydpg College is proudly fulfilling its objectives to provide quality higher education on the cheapest fee to the youth of this educationally backward district so that they become enlightened and empowered. Current Principal Dr. Under the leadership of DN Malpani, the college has renewed its resolve to reach new heights in areas of operational efficiency and academic excellence.
